Yes, this year the Splendour in The Grass lineup is massive in every sense of the word. With over 100 artists on the bill it means its time to practice running from stage to stage in your gumboots because i'm predicting clash galore. So obviously everyone's main priority will be seeing Blur, Florence, Mark Ronson and Tame Impala who will 100% not clash with each other, largely due to the fact 3 or those 4 are on different days, good times, can't wait!
But what about all those other acts, so many, overwhelming, how will you fit everyone in, you probably won't :(. So I have put together a list of the 15 acts you may not know just yet, but you damn well should because you're gonna love being able to say "yeah I saw them/him/her at Splendour in 2015" when they start to peak, and they WILL peak soon.
MØ - CHRIST ALMIGHTY. Finally, I have been waiting almost 2 years to look at MØ in the face while she sings

George Maple - Future

Elliphant - You know, YOU KNOW how much I am obsessed with Elliphant so you can imagine my reaction when I heard the boys Matt and Alex announce her name on Wednesday morning. I have been aching to see her live, I think she is one of the most baddass girls out and nothing will get in my way of cutting shapes during her set.
Meg Mac - Everyones favourite soul sister. Meg just killed it at SXSW and is now the talk of the town after blowing everyone away. Her debut album is heavily anticipated and will drop sometime soon. To see her perform it live at Splendour will be unforgettable, I've seen what she can do in a speigltent so to see her belt out all her hits to the people of Splendour will be breathtaking
Client Liasion - I have been championing these retro funk lords for some time now and after seeing their small show at The Black Bear Lodge a couple of months ago and seeing how much they got the floor to LITERALLY SHAKE, these guys are going to murder their set, I can feel it.
Eves The Behaviour- I have been following this talented young girl since Zen, when she was performing as just "Eves." Since then my biggest regret is not getting to Laneway Festival early enough to catch her set this year :'( I had it highlighted on my timetable and everything. Thankfully we get a do-over and its only at freaking Splendour In The Grass
Jarryd James - Do You Remember saw JJ sore to all kinds of success. He is Joel Little's latest hit maker since Broods and Lorde so expect huge things from this guy. I've seen him open for Broods in Brisbane and not even Matt Corby on the keys could pull my attention from his performance.
Mansionaire - These young lads came out strong this year with their bloody ballad of a song, Hold Me Down, which they followed up with Second Night. A warm afternoon setting on the amphitheatre hill would be perfect for this band, be there.
GL - Make time in your schedule to see these guys. Girl on vocals, Ella Thompson has recently become my new obsession and this one is her most recent projects out of the many many others she is involved in. 80's inspired pop at a festival setting, what's not to love?
Urban Cone - Sadness Disease got so much love from the Triple J crowd, to see this song played in front of thousands of it's admirers will be pretty amazing. I'm also hoping we see them jump up on stage during Porter Robinson's set to perform Lion Hearted. So excite.
Japanese Wallpaper - This Guy! Between Friends was an anthem last summer, his Piñata remix changed my life and his new track Forces, featuring Airling, is another heavy feel song. Imagine all the drunk emotional friend-on-friend embraces that will happen, I'm picturing it now, ahhh amazing.
Ecca Vandal - Last year all eyes were on Tkay Maidza as the pocket rocket to watch and this year, it's Ecca Vandals turn. White Flag and Battle Royal is all I have heard from her so far, but after hearing so much rave about her live shows, I can't wait to see her rip Splendour a new one this July.
Vallis Alps - I'm beyond excited about this Seattle/Canberra outfit. Young has been one of my favourite releases of the year so far. The singer literally purrs into the microphone her voice is so velvet. Do not miss.
Joyride - Anyone who knows me personally or has ever been in my car knows how much I flogged Tongues by these guys and it still hasn't gotten old. I will love it forever and I don't care if I'm horribly hungover or if I lose a foot this year at Splendour I can not miss this happening live in front of my face. (touch wood)
Schlomo - For those who are't familiar with this dude, all you really need to know is that he is the producer genius behind Banks' Brain, which is arguably one her her best songs ever. I wish I could crawl inside Schlomo's brain for a day just to see what goes on and how the hell he comes up with the stuff he does. I think he will be an unexpected highlight for those who catch him.
So there you have it, personally this is probably the best lineup I have ever seen in all my life, could have even 1 up'd Glastonbury this year, with the exception of their headliners (YEEZYYYY). I'm biased though because there is so much local talent on this Splendour lineup that I have been frothing over lately so it's right up my alley. Good job Splendour you've done it again. Also big ups for not letting ovaries be lineup leprechauns.woohoo cya in July lover.
Love your pal, Kritty xx.
