Anyone who knows me knows that HAIM (rhymes with time) are my all-time favourite band, not only favourite band, but my favourite artists and have been since 2012. The sister trio are the most unique act out there right now. The long haired, long legged, valley girls from California play their own instruments (emphasis on the plural 'instruments') which is something that is so refreshing and unfortunately rare to see. They have basically said "anything you can do i can do better" to all the male dominated bands in the circuit right now. Their sound is pop, but with a touch of rock 'n' roll. I had the pleasure of meeting all 3 of them in Brisbane this year for St.Jeromes Laneway Festival and they were so incredibly friendly and humble. They spent a lot of time with us talking, signing things, taking pictures and giving hugs, it just makes it that much better when you can love artists' personalities as much as their music. Picking a favourite track from their debut album "Days Are Gone" is an impossible task but my top 5 HAIM songs are "Falling", "My Song 5", "Forever", "If I Could Change Your Mind" and "Send Me Down" which didn't make the album but was on their "Forever EP". I could literally write an novel about these girls but i'll leave it at that for now. Go and look this babes up and see what all the hype is about!
