Listen Out was kind of like a mix between Stereosonic and Laneway. Same kind of vibe as Laneway, just way more blown up dudes w/o shirts and 100% more bumbags, hence the stereo reference.
I experienced a lot of things at this years Listen Out in Brisbane and i'm going to fill you in on what I learnt and tell you about things that should be noted.
- Group stretches before an all-day festival are the keys to success.
- Basenji's lappy broke but then he played Rustie's edit of Beautiful and everything was perfect
- Client Liasion gee me up so much I climbed a pole and danced on a fence - redbull could also be responsible for that impulsive decision.
- Everyone in the world knows the words to Tuesday and No Type.
- Hayden James' Something About You induced so much fluid movement in the crowd.
- Ryan Hemsworth was #1 biggest babe there.
- SBTRKT was my fav set, I did the cha-cha with Young Franco during this.
- Alison Wonderland was the only girl on the lineup and drew one of the biggest/craziest crowds of the night.
- Literally had to run to and from Childish Gambino and Golden Features for optimum experience.
- Then ran from the exit back to Golden Features because just as you thought you'd call it, he'd drop some heat you couldn't miss.
- TBC was quite possibly the highlight of the whole night because it was highly LITTTTT. I wouldn't normally say 'turnt' but there is no other way to describe that after party. ILOVEMAKONNEN and Rae Shremmurd performing to a small club that was packed from wall-to-wall was insane. I also got to look at Ryan Hemsworth's face IRL again which was a bonus.
If you weren't at Listen Out this year i'll organise a care package to be delivered to your house because you must be spewin'. I hope you have a speedy recovery. See you at FOMO?
