HELLO PUPPY LUV!
I went to Basenji's Trackpad Tour in Brisbane last night and I have so much to say about it.
I would like to start this recap off by letting you know that before Basenji had even started, a cross-fit dude had invaded the stage, ripped his shirt off and was swinging it around above his head. Needless to say people were pretty excited.
With a quick lil intro from bff's UV Boi and Young Franco, Basenji appeared in his all white get-up and his super qt intro started that made me wanna cry a tiny bit.
The lighting and visuals were some of the best i've ever seen for this show. There were cute little puppies running with the music and sparkles and projections of the Basenji emblem and strobes, it had everything.
To give you the full Trackpad Brisbane experience i'm going to set the scene in the crowd. There is someone vaping behind you, 2 dudes thrash-dancing in front of you (I should add that at some points when they were "just vibing bro" they would just bang their heads on the stage). There is a couple making out next to you the whole time, 1 unannounced stage dive that didn't end horribly and 4 that did; shout-out to the girl who got completely decked by a bro but kept her spirits high dancing to Heirloom.
That was the general vibe. Basenji played all my faves, between his own songs from the Trackpad EP and some very well received unreleased stuff he also played tracks from Rustie, SOPHIE, an unreleased Cosmos Midnight remix of Flashdrive and a bunch of other fiery tracks I had to secretly shazam.
This show had some much energy and I don't think I have ever been so happy. If you are in Melbourne tonight or Sydney next Friday, pls go to be blessed by the super kawaii's of Basenji. If sadly you can't make it, I suggest you go buy one of his bb water bottle USB's loaded with the EP and try your best to pretend.
Love blessed Kritty, xxx.
