Internet People, this is Stonefox. Stonefox, this is Internet People. Now Kiss!

Hey there puffle, hru?

Lil biddies Jenna, Monica and Tim, collectively known as Stonefox, have just released their debut ep Surface this week, it's well good and v impressive, makes me fell some kind of nice when I play it through. 5 tracks long, I highly recommend this be the soundtrack to your next afternoon drive/ road trip. This trio of Melbourne babes grabbed my short attention span when I was diggin' the depths of Triple J Unearthed a few weeks back, the track that introduced itself to my eardrums was Arrow and I was immediately captivated by the vocals that were going on and floored by how easy it was to listen to. I could tell they were onto something and now that there is a whole ep out, it can be confirmed that I was right...once again. Ty Stonefox for having my back.

The ep is a perfect body of work from start to finish, there is an underlying The XX meets London Grammar vibe to it production-wise but it doesn't overshadow their individual sound that is evident throughout. They have used space really nicely, particularly in Heart and All I Want and they know how to hit you deep in the feels. Pls do not get me started on their flirtatious song-singing voices because I could write a novel. Ghost is the most uptempo track and defs a contender for my fave on the ep, along with the O.G, Arrow.

Surface is an exciting preview for what Stonefox are capable of producing. The fact that this is only the first we are hearing from these guys is what gets me going, like imagine what's to come, more gems are on the horizon I can feel it!

I only have 1 single qualm with these kids and that is that they aren't bringing their tour to Brisbane :( but I'm sure we can expect them sooner rather than later, so things are looking up in that department.

You can own this gr8 art by purchasing it from iTunes for a steal of just $8.45 (here). What a bargain, such value wow, buy one for your cousin too! Feel free to try before you buy below.

Love Kritty, i'm here all week xxx

Cool Sports (A+)

sup playa playa?

Trampolines? Don't need em', Jumping castles? nbd. Pogo Sticks? naht today. You might have thought you knew what bouncing was, but listen to Nina Las Vegas x Swick's Cool Sports EP once and you will realise what you have been missing out on in your quest for all the fun-time boings.

Australia's fave gal NLV & Melbourne's very own, king of the quirks, Swick, have given birth to 3 babies, healthy babies, energetic babies, babies that will keep you up all night long wanting your attention. Said babies are in the form of the "AYYYE plus" 3 track EP, Cool Sports out via Fools Gold Records. This is the second colab project for the dream team, following up their first EP Don't Send, Cool Sports is a big fat, red cordial fuelled surprise party.

You never really know where each track is going to go, they make sure to keep you on your twinkle toes the for the whole 11 minutes. Opening with the title track Cool Sports, the build from the start lets you know some shit is about to get wild, like when you hold down that button on the pinball machine before you release it and the little ball shoots off to do some weird rebounds and stuff, bonus rounds and high scores are flying everywhere, such a win. Birthday is next and it's the cutest moofy club track ever, Nina's pitched up vocal is sweet af and anyone who knows me knows that if you wanna win me over, just hit me with a good bubble noise. The party comes to an end with Pool Girls, we can now assume this surprise party is in fact a surprise pool party, double fun m i rite?! This track calms you down a bit after your sugar rush but has enough of the good stuff in it that it will leave you going through withdrawals once its over, you will want to replay the whole thing from start to finish, this is when you will realise you are addicted.

For Nina, this is just the beginning, starting to put more focus onto her original production, she's stepped up and proved herself with this one. Swick is also on the up and up, his last release Crystal Palace out on buddy T-E-E-D's Nice Age label, is also one of the best this year IMO.

So put away your damn roo-boots and stupid exercise balls with handles, Cool Sports is is way better value and 10x more fun.

cya on the streets hustlerz, Love Kritty xx

Happy Hottest 100

Oi Oi, Australia Day is one of my favourite days of the whole year, partly because its a giant tacky dress up pool party and partly because of the Triple J Hottest 100 countdown that runs annually from midday to dark. For those of you outside of Australia, basically there is a lot of day drinking and face tattoos involved and people standing on tables waiting to find out what song will receive the prestigious #1 spot on the countdown (my money is on Peking Duck "High" this year, Chet Faker close second). Im not even going to mention the whole Tay Tay Swift situation. But just incase you aren't into the countdown or aren't going to be able to tune in, i've created an all Australian playlist to get you into the patriotic spirit of 'straya day. Included in the mix of home grown tuuunes are Flight Facilities, Alison Wonderland, The Preatures and heaps more. Have a bloody rippah of a day you friggen champions.

Cheers, Kritty xx
