Internet People, this is Stonefox. Stonefox, this is Internet People. Now Kiss!

Hey there puffle, hru?

Lil biddies Jenna, Monica and Tim, collectively known as Stonefoxhave just released their debut ep Surface this week, it's well good and v impressive, makes me fell some kind of nice when I play it through. 5 tracks long, I highly recommend this be the soundtrack to your next afternoon drive/ road trip. This trio of Melbourne babes grabbed my short attention span when I was diggin' the depths of Triple J Unearthed a few weeks back, the track that introduced itself to my eardrums was Arrow and I was immediately captivated by the vocals that were going on and floored by how easy it was to listen to. I could tell they were onto something and now that there is a whole ep out, it can be confirmed that I was right...once again. Ty Stonefox for having my back.

The ep is a perfect body of work from start to finish, there is an underlying The XX meets London Grammar vibe to it production-wise but it doesn't overshadow their individual sound that is evident throughout. They have used space really nicely, particularly in Heart and All I Want and they know how to hit you deep in the feels. Pls do not get me started on their flirtatious song-singing voices because I could write a novel. Ghost is the most uptempo track and defs a contender for my fave on the ep, along with the O.G, Arrow.

Surface is an exciting preview for what Stonefox are capable of producing. The fact that this is only the first we are hearing from these guys is what gets me going, like imagine what's to come, more gems are on the horizon I can feel it!

I only have 1 single qualm with these kids and that is that they aren't bringing their tour to Brisbane :( but I'm sure we can expect them sooner rather than later, so things are looking up in that department.

You can own this gr8 art by purchasing it from iTunes for a steal of just $8.45 (here). What a bargain, such value wow, buy one for your cousin too! Feel free to try before you buy below.

Love Kritty, i'm here all week xxx

Mid-Week MP3s

Hey swizzle sticks,

It's about that time for another playlist and I thought instead of using my free time to do my assignments, i'd write this instead. So time management could be better but these are the things I do for you, you're so welcome, it really is my pleasure.

Ok class, hands up if you like guitars, keep your hands up. Who likes pop? Woo yeah, keep your hands up. What about electronic beats? Fabulous, keep those hands up. Future bass? Brilliant keep 'em high. Where's my trap king and queens, hands up? Wow look, everyone in the whole world has their hand up. This is perfect because that means everyone in the world will find something they can crush on in the weeks playlist. Mission accomplished, good job Kristy Barker, you've done it again.

Another week, another load of newly harvested tracks. This week the "Australian Made" stamp goes to  S U N D A Y, Female, Feki and Grrl Pal, who are all Triple J Unearthed lil babies and also to Melbourne boy, Air Max '97. All these weet-bix kids are blossoming as I type this and even more as you're reading this so keep you're ears up for more things to come from them.

Have the best time,

Love Kritty xxx

Big Ups : Client Liasion

Big ups this week goes to ultimate funk daddy's 'Client Liasion'. Like a time warp straight back to the late 80's/ early 90's, this Aussie duo, made up of Monte Morgan and Harvey Millar, makes me think of old tape recorders, synths and fax machines both sonically and visually. These guys are so fascinating and unique you can't even begin to compare them to anything else.  They got their mullets and bleached blowouts above the surface through Triple J's 'Unearthed' platform, like so many other big home grown acts of 2014. After gaining a bit of  a following on their and generous airtime on Triple J radio, Client Liaison won a spot on the lineup for Melbournes infamous Laneway Festival in January last year.  Their debut, self-titled EP came out in September of last year and was well received by the Triple J and RAGE presenters and listeners alike (the cool kids of Australia). My personal favourites of this little gem are 'Queen' and ' Feed The Rhythm" and if this is what they can produce for their first ever EP, I am looking forward to seeing what they can do with a full length album. BIG UPS CL!

Stream the entire EP below and..

Think nothing. Feel everything. Pleasure is good. Fantasy is truth. Experience CLIENT LIAISON" (Unearthed Bio)
